Custom Attack Pumper

A HME 1871 custom chassis with a medium four door cab, six-man seating with five SCBA seats, heavy duty front and rear axles, and a 24" extended front bumper.  A powerful 430 HP Series 60 Detroit diesel engine and an Allison five speed automatic transmission allows this truck to go up hills with no problem.

This truck is designed to knock down the fire!

The Waterous 1,500 GPM midship pump is fed with two 6" main suction intakes, a 2-1/2" pony suction, and a 6" front suction intake.  There are five 2-1/2 discharges, a 5" curb side discharge for large diameter hose, and a 3" discharge for a deck gun.  Also, a Foam-Pro Class A foam system makes it easier to handle those tough structure fires!  A 1,000 gallon poly booster tank supplies the water, along with a 20 gallon foam cell for the Class A foam.

This attack pumper features an extruded aluminum compartment body with extra large sweep-out style storage compartment.  Four SCBA cylinder compartments at the rear wheelwells, and a front bumper compartment provide some extra equipment storage.  Five air packs can be stored in the SCBA seats in the custom cab.  The extruded aluminum body construction provides extra protection against bad weather and road salt.

The extra large hose bed is designed to carry 1,000 feet of 5" large diameter supply hose, as well as two 2-1/2 rear preconnects.  Easy access to the hose bed is provided with extra steps as well as a full width rear step at the mid-height position.  Othe equipment includes stainless steel D-ring handles, full radius wheelwells, a Tomar NFPA strobe warning light package, NFPA reflective striping, roll-out trays, an on-board generator, dual Grover 24" "Stuttertone" air horns, black vinyl pump panels for reduced glare, Class 1 gauges and more!
