This tanker is designed to perform! The Freightliner chassis includes a 300 HP Caterpillar diesel engine, and a Fuller 10-speed manual transmission. This is an ideal size for a rural fire department tanker. The PTO GPM pump can be used for pump-off operations, fire attack, or for filling porta-tanks when traffic prohibits using the 10" rear dump valve. The 24" pump module is designed to allow future upgrade to a 1,000 GPM pump when funding permits.

This "TANKER 1" Series fire tanker has seen major usage during its first few months of operation, including water supply operations during a fire at a major propane facility. The 2,500 gallon stainless steel water tank can be filled with dual 2-1/2" rear tank fills in two minutes, and the 10 Newton rear dump valve can empty this impressive truck in less than 90 seconds!

General - Model BFT-2500 elliptical tanker, including a Freightliner Model FL-80 heavy duty chassis, a 300 HP Caterpillar diesel engine, engine exhaust brake, a Fuller 10-speed manual transmission, brite finish exhaust stack, heavy duty 110,000 psi double rail frame, chrome lug nut covers, a Gorman-Rupp 400 GPM PTO, and dual hose dry lays above the pump module.

Other equipment includes large left side and right side stainless steel storage compartments with roll-up doors, left side hose storage deck, a rear bumper hose storage tray, and a fold-down storage rack for a 2,500 gallon portable water tank. Warning equipment includes a Code 3 NFPA warning light system with all-light halogen light bar, halogen flashers on all four sides, dual halogen rear rotators, a 100 watt electronic siren, clear scene-lights on sides and rear of truck, 4" custom NFPA striping, and simulated gold custom lettering with red detail striping.
